Militants bulldoze through Native American archeological site, share video rifling through artifacts

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2016/1/21/1472882/-Militants-bulldoze-through-Native-American-archeological-site-share-video-rifling-through-artifacts

Members of the Burns Paiute Tribe are increasingly angry nothing has been done to get the armed militants out of the refuge and away from their artifacts and the archeological sites:

On Friday, the tribe delivered a letter to federal agencies including the U.S. Attorney and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service demanding prosecution of Ammon Bundy and other armed militants occupying the Malheur Wildlife Refuge, “If the occupiers disturb, damage, remove, alter, or deface any archaeological resource on the refuge property.

There are approximately 4,000 artifacts belonging to the tribe in the buildings the militants are holding. The occupation is entering its third week.

The tribe is demanding federal action under both theArchaeological Resources Protection Act of 1979 and a "protection against bad men” provision in the treaty the tribe signed with the United States in 1868.

Meanwhile, in the video below, LaVoy Finicum and other armed militants show themselves rifling through boxes of artifacts and offering to return them to the Burns Paiute Tribe. Some of the artifacts at the refuge date back 6,000 years.

Enough is enough! Yes there are many like them in this country and I'm sure this is the reason nothing has been done.

But hello! Are we going to just let them rule. I guarantee if nothing is done there will be more nuts coming out.

This unbelievable!

As Snagglepuss once said, "Self-inflicted Bar-B-Que. They cooked their own goose. Exit stage left."

I don't think I have ever witnessed a collection of such thorough idiots in my lifetime. Certainly there is sufficient evidence, all supplied by the perpetrators, to round this bunch up and throw away the keys.

Why? Oh why are we pussyfooting this crowd of lunatic idiots?

Boggles the mind.

Video shows Ammon Bundy’s militiamen standing in what appears to be a storage area of a building at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge in Oregon. More than 4,000 Native American artifacts are housed at the refuge. Burns Paiute tribal chairperson Charlotte Roderique has expressed concern over how the militia was handling the tribe’s history.

Bundy may think that this might gain him favor with the Paiutes but, as someone else has put it, the Tribe is mad as hell at these latest white invaders!
