How the Bundy Militia Created the "Harney County Committee of Safety" to Overthrow Local Government

Despite appearing as a group of citizens representing Harney County, the "Committee of Safety" is a sock puppet of anti-government extremists led by Ammon Bundy, who seeks to overthrow legitimate democratically elected local government. This series of tweets documents the creation of this group.

Ryan Payne, Bundy's militia head, describes their process as aimed at "abolishing the government" just as the American Revolution did.

Ryan Payne describes "Committee of Safety" as "their own civil authority" to oversee militia, with possibility of imprisoning the Governor.

Ryan Payne sells the "Committee of Safety" using fear of: flood, crime, or the UN invading the US. Fear of the UN is real in rural Oregon.
