I used to love snow days when I lived in NYC. A soft blanket of snow really takes the edge off the hard lines of the city and that muffled and rare silence fed my soul. Activity slowed to a crawl....then stillness descends. Gentle music, a steaming bowl of soup, a good book and then a long winter's nap. Peace!
