(34,582 posts)Having experienced "burn out" I fully understand. Had he kept slogging away, would it have been quality work? Probably not. Now he is fresh and back. I am enjoying it.

(19,537 posts)So I'm sure he felt he had to be back in action before this weekend, when perhaps there's finally a worthwhile candidate starting off primary season with the Iowa caucuses instead of him having to run Bill and Opus then...

And there really was a Charmin' Jeff Harmon that worked at a local radio station named KRNA in Iowa City in the old days too...

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
