Rubio and Cruz's nomination strategy is befuddling

I don't understand what these guys are doing. I heard some Rubio surrogate tonight saying that Rubio just wants to finish second as much as possible through March 1. They cannot name a single state that they will win, but they want to stay in top 2-3. I think this is a crazy strategy. Rubio finished 2nd in SC and got no delegates. He's likely to lose everywhere on March 1st and Cruz is likely to pull Texas plus maybe one more state. So on March 2, Rubio will still not have won anywhere and he's going to be in a huge delegate deficit.

Cruz is constantly at war with Rubio. He too doesn't want to touch Trump. He hopes to knock out Rubio and take Trump on one on one. But the assumption is that Rubio supporters will move to Cruz. In reality they would move to Kasich or out of the process. None of this matters because after March 1, and more so March 15, Cruz will be in a significant delegate deficit.

So the three of them are in a dance, and Trump makes all the moves. It's a perfect scenario for him. The two of them kill each other and he marches forward. And if this doesn't change by March 1, it's unlikely it changes ever.

Maybe they are all trying to take it to the convention? Kasich is surely helping with this. Ohio votes on March 15 and Trump is polling slightly ahead. It will be nearly impossible to catch Trump if the field doesn't narrow before March 15 and Kasich doesn't seem to be going anywhere.

So what can they do? They need to go on the attack against Trump and hope for the best. Or hang on forever and hope they can deny Trump at the convention.

Rubio and Cruz have proven themselves to be WEAK! They fear Trump and I think voters sense that fear.
