Trump wins....and it appears a little bit of GD:P...

has leaked out into here.

Basically the arguments have been:

Trump is going to win the GOP and be the nominee! We need strong contender!

That contender is:

Person A: Hillary!

Person B: Bernie!

Person A: No, its Hilliary she's getting the wins.

Person B: Barely, the base doesn't trust her.

...............................

Me: They are both equally week and equally strong until one pulls ahead in the later states. End of story.

Hillary not trouncing Bernie is not a sign of weakness for her or strength for him, but a sign that progressives are starting to move further left.

Who ever wins, the other side has to come around and are idiots if they don't for these reasons:

1. Obama's nominee for SCOTUS is DOA.

2. The most important reason to vote, even if you have to hold your nose; "President Trump".

2. The most important reason to vote, even if you have to hold your nose; "President Trump".

My state will be sending its electoral votes to the Republican.

There's a very small chance if Sanders is the nominee, but there's easier states to get to 270. So it's unlikely he'd campaign here to exploit that chance. Clinton has zero chance here, and similarly wouldn't bother to work on changing that.

As a result, my vote will have zero effect on "President Trump" or not.

The vast majority of DU lives in states where the electoral result is already known. CA will be voting for the Democrat. SC will be voting for the Republican.

So I'd recommend not spending a whole lot of time pushing that "most important reason". It creates animosity - Person A and Person B both have arguments for why their candidate is the one to stop Trump. In return for creating that animosity, we get no change in electoral result.
