Carla Hayden is Obama's best appointment ever

She would be the first Woman of Color to run the Library of Congress.

She would be the first librarian from a public lending library background rather than a research library background to run the Library of Congress. (That's almost more crazy.)

She has successfully sued the US government to protect library patrons from surveillance and monitoring.

This is the Librarian of Congress we need, ladies and gentlemen. Thanks, Obama!

I don't know anything about Ms. Hayden, but I'm glad they were able to get Mr. Billington to retire. That place could use some fresh thinking.
