There's an sad rumour about Rubio on the interwebs that the Stump for Trump duet has brought to light:

If Cruz and Trump make hay of this, it could easily sink Rubio's candidacy, especially given his sheer play to social conservative types ("we're gonna be the country that says marriage is between a man and a woman&quot . Plus it could drive gay turnout for the party (Dems) that don't engage in this kind of gay bashing that the GOP does.

I was stunned to find more than one person called ask me "are you gay?" and "You ain't a homo are you?"

I don't know what to make of any of this beyond sadness.

2. Gays already vote democratic en masse.

This type of shit flies on the right, and sometimes on the left (Ms. Lindsey comments, Mann Coulter comments, Trump "sounds" gay, "too soon" for GLBT rights, gay rights aren't civil rights, just privileged people whining, and so on), but it doesn't change the fact GLBT people almost always vote overwhelmingly democratic.
