Do Reince Priebus & RNC powers-that-be realize how badly rolling out Mittens is going to backfire?

Do they really think resurrecting a serial loser will sway a Repug electorate that loves strongman/big daddy types? .... The utter cluelessness of the establishment in this election cycle is astounding.

I think what they are doing is rolling out the MittBot 2.0 so that it won't be a surprise when his name is floated during the trainwreck of a convention they are going to have.

can sway the red neck masses from supporting Drumpf.

The hicks love Drumpf because he is a crass, racist, diarrhea-mouthed bully who always says the first thing that pops into his head.

Drumpf is exactly what each of his supporters hopes to be someday, a rich asshole who can do whatever he wants with no repercussions!

Rubio, say? Romney can self-fund to begin, but is the RNC establishment bringing him on? The Kochs didn't like him before, but will their organization back him now or oppose him with their own choice? Is Rubio out, or will it be a battle of the titans?

I have no answers. I'm just wondering what is happening here. Is the Right simultaneously in chaos and coming together monilithically at the top to get a reliable anti-government conservative in the Oval Office?

First mistake: They let Trump rise to popularity without opposition.

Second mistake: Once Trump became the front runner, they put Mitt Romney (a loser) out there to undermine the front runner. Ironically this same loser endorsed Trump back in 2012.

Third Mistake: They've just fractured their party beyond repair so whoever the Democratic nominee is will just walk right in.

Talk about DUMB!
