3 third place finishes and a fourth. There really isn't somewhere he can win. Even Florida is a stretch. Maybe he pulls out Puerto Rico tomorrow but I don't think that matters.
Trump made two points that I was thinking about. 1. Rubio is tanking. 2. Rubio's clash with Trump has been as damaging to him as it was for the rest of the losers (Bush, Graham, Perry, Jindal, etc.).
Another thing to consider... Trump and Cruz might want to get it to a two person race for another reason. The "mainstream" hates them both. Combined, they are more than half way to the nomination. A deal between them means that a contested convention ends with them both on the ticket.

(2,003 posts)Taking out Trump wasn't supposed to result in Cruz winning. That's not how this shit was supposed to play out.
Bush waited too long to drop out. Should've never been in it in the first place. Establishment money should've been on Rubio from the beginning. Jeb could've networked for Marco behind the scenes.
Oh well. They're screwed now. They either hand the party over to Trump for a massive top to bottom restructuring or run with Cruz and enjoy a repeat of 1964 and Goldwater's landslide defeat. God help us if Cruz wins though. That man is pure fucking slime.
