Perhaps the most disturbing part about the whole Donald Trump loyalty pledge incident
.....even more so than the visuals that made it look somewhat like a rally from the Third Reich, was the oath's "text":
"I do solemnly swear that I, no matter how I feel, no matter what the conditions, if there are hurricanes or whatever, will vote on or before the 12th for Donald J. Trump for President."
Why is it disturbing?
Because it sounded idiotic....i.e. "hurricanes or whatever"....And yet literally thousands of people repeated it with completely straight faces, because Trump told them to.
Trump will literally make you sound like an idiot just for his own personal aggrandizement. That's what we're dealing with here.
