Chicago is a melting pot. There has been a lot brewing here the past few months and people are getting sick of the hate and discrimination.

(34,582 posts)in another melting pot- Cleveland. Yeah, they are not as big, but a convention is going to bring a bunch of people in. For once, I may not miss my adopted home town.

(628 posts)but traffic was bad and that was around 3. Then while we sat in traffic I read that they were now going to use the gym as an overflow (that holds 2400) and the field house was going to be the main rally. It also said getting to a bathroom was going to be challenging. That right there was an issue with my husbands medical condition so we had to turn around. They also announced if you were planning on sitting forget it. It was basically a standing rally. So 2 hours in line then 3 more hours to hear Bernie, my husband just couldn't do it Maybe next time.
I so wish he would have held it in Toyota park next door. It would have been perfect.

(2,388 posts)rhetoric that gets slung around by politicians who don't seem to have any
connection to the reality being lived by the American people. I think this
kind of push-back is important although it needs to remain non-violent.
Just stay in their faces and let them know that this is not some scripted
reality t.v. show or WWE wrestling event. Real lives at stake, and nothing
less than the survival of our country. BIG! REAL!
