Changing twice a year like most states do now. Later sunset in summer, earlier sunset in winter.

4. More daylight is such a misnomer

There is x amount of daylight each day, if we want more daylight at the end our day, we should just start our day earlier.

6. If business and schools would start at 7:00 AM vs 8:00 & 9:00

The day could be done by 3:00 - 4:00. It leaves plenty of daylight even in the winter.

I start my day at 6:00 AM and get off at 3:00 if I am working a long day.

7. I know it is nice for you people who do not work by the sun
Sat Mar 12, 2016, 05:56 PM
Mar 2016

but it is pure hell for those of use who work by the sun, ESPECIALLY on the western edge of the time zone.

It isn't just a time inconvenience for me and my sleep. it also involves conflicts with many things being on the western edge. I farm and we work by the sun and with the wonderful addition. The parts stores close an hour earlier making it really difficult when they close and we have 5 more hours of working time instead of 4. We do have families and I unlike the ones living, on the eastern edge have to do the sacrificing.

you can all get your shit from Mexico. I am retiring

9. Change like we do now, but ...

... add another hour, maybe in April, so we can have Double Daylight Saving Time!

I like that it stays light until late evening.

so I don't give a hoot about when the sun comes up. I would rather stay the same time year round.

12. I want sun in the morning. I HATE feeling like I'm getting up in the middle of thenight.

It makes me happy to see sunlight in my bedroom window when I wake up. Sun in the late afternoon isn't as important to me. For me, getting dark is normal at the end of the day and I go to bed early.

14. Can you add an option for "stay the same all year and don't care which?"
Sat Mar 12, 2016, 06:58 PM
Mar 2016

Because that's where I'm at.

Since that option isn't there I'll go for more light in the morning. But I'm really not hard over on it and I'd just be happy to not change the clocks twice a year.

15. I'd have to go with more daylight in the winter
Sat Mar 12, 2016, 07:11 PM

although that means the sun would rise here about 11:00 a.m., which would kind of suck, but the extra hour after 3:30 would probably be pretty cool. It makes no difference at all in the summer.

18. If we are going to do it, I think we ought to spring forward at noon on a Monday, and
Sun Mar 13, 2016, 03:00 AM

fall back at midnight on a Fri/Sat.

But I guess I'd rather have more light in the evening, since I rarely get up early enough to take advantage of an earlier sunrise. And if I have to get up early, I'm already miserable about it - daylight won't help!
