I was thinking, if Obama really wanted to mess with the GOP's minds on the SCOTUS nom...

He tell them this, privately:

"ok...here's the deal...if you'll guarantee hearings and a speedy confirmation vote, I'll nominate...myself. You guys are still determined to make sure I don't serve out my full second term...this way, I wouldn't. I'd end up on the Court for life, but you could say you removed me from the White House. If you vote me down, I'll just stay here 'til January. 'K? ".

I can almost picture him floating this idea just to see how many ways it would ReThug heads explode.

What did she have to gain by coming forward with her experiences?
She was filleted by the smear machine - Thomas has only done what Scalia told him to do.
