Ya know, I don't give a shit if the guy lives or dies.
but this comment on fb from a self-professed Christian" saying the accident came about bec. Sarah is backing dtrump---
nice...what a moron.
"This is venturing into an area I know some Christians will not agree, but I've been saying for a while high profile Christians like Sarah Palin are not "getting under the spout where the blessings come out" by backing an immoral, profane, reality star like Donald Trump over godly men. I sincerely believed her actions would put her family in jeopardy and things would not go as well for them because of her turning her back on God's design for leaders, and influencing many people across the country. I'm convinced she has not been thinking straight and rebelling against choosing a godly leader. That is why we need to fear the Lord."
nice christian thot.

(12,296 posts)... viewing everything through that distorted Biblical perspective.
I work in IT and it absolutely floors me how many co-workers are tea bagging Evangelicals. The fact that I'm in Indiana might have a lot to do with it, but ... SCIENCE! IT! COMMON SENSE? Ya know?

Science and religion don't cross as often as you think in real life.

(15,222 posts)I totally concur with you. But my reasoning is that this "Christian" that is posting is acting pretty arrogant in her thinking that SHE knows what God is going to do to someone based on that person's actions. I suppose, also, that the "godly leader" she mentions is Ted Cruz, and I just have to laugh my head off at THAT one!!!
For me, personally, it just doesn't work that way.

(3,864 posts)which makes my head spin- there was a terrible train crash in Arizona several years ago - a woman is rescued. her comment: "God saved me bec. he (sic) knows I still have work to do."
So.. "god" saved her?
and killed the 6-month-old baby.
shit.
talk about over-estimating one's importance in the scheme of things.
(none of my comments, btw, mean to disparage anyone's religion)

(15,222 posts)I feel the same way. I hear people screaming about how their Christian faith saved them from (fill in the blank...cancer, etc.) and I have often responded asking how they think that makes those people feel who are terminal, etc. Are those people not to feel that THEY are special in Christ's eyes, as well?
We ALL still have work to do. All have families and obligations, etc.
Thanks for your post.
