HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (WOWT) -- They went to the same high school and now work in the same industry. They call themselves "Hollywood Prep."

Their careers center on Hollywood and the entertainment industry; it's where they now live. But the “prep” comes from where they grew up, Creighton Prep in Omaha. Bob Wiltfong graduated from the school in 1988.

"We don't have titles per se. I'm the leader of the group. I'm one of the guys who founded the group,” said Bob. "This is my high school pep rally name – Crazy Bob. And '88 is the year I graduated from Prep. So you do the math and figure out how old I am."

Frank Merwald graduated from Creighton Prep in 1968. He said, "I might be one of the oldest members of Hollywood Prep.”
He said Hollywood Prep has gotten him back together with a lot of people from high school.

Scott Beehner graduated from prep in 1991 and came to Hollywood nine years later. WOWT6 News asked if he had any advice to pass along to future graduates. He said, “Don't do it if you're not dying to do it because it's hard. I remember when it was high school age and I asked my dad if he thought I could make a living as an actor. I remember he thought it seemed like the kind of thing where you needed to be poor for a long time – and you do."

Hollywood Prep, at the very least, is a comfortable sounding board for those who ventured 15-hundred miles from home to pursue a dream.
