Pawpaw makes burgers for 6 grandkids. One shows up. Death threats result from internet

The story behind this photo a girl took of her ‘Papaw’ will break your heart

If you’re still lucky enough to have your grandparents around, this is going to make you want to give them a call right away.

Twitter user Kelsey Harmon’s photo of her grandfather, who she knows as “Pawpaw”, eating his supper has gone viral since she shared it on the social network on Wednesday.

Thanks to Kelsey’s heartbreaking tweet, the internet now loves Pawpaw too! Her post has received 123 000 retweets and over 200 000 likes.

As well as the heartwarming messages of support for Pawpaw that have been pouring in, his “lame” grandkids have been getting some serious Twitter hate, promting Kelsey to tweet, “pPapaw is ok guys I promise & he loves all grandkids equally, plz stop sending my cousins death threats everything is ok !!!!”

(I am known as Pappy) know how to make a good burger. You can keep the fast food junk- if you want a real burger, come to my place Nothing make a grandfather feel better than having their grandchildren around. Two of mine life with me and the wife. The youngest (2.5 years old) is the light of my life. I call her little Mary because she really takes after my wife in looks and attitude. She tolerates zero bullshit from anyone- as her six year old brother has found out the hard way on more than one occasion

An Oklahoma grandfather is publicly reassuring the world that he is not mad at his grandchildren after a "sad" photo of him went viral earlier this week, when he made dinner for six grandkids but only one showed up.

"There was a failure to communicate," Kenneth Harmon told Inside Edition. I thought that everybody was invited, but that's not the way it turned out. There was some grandkids who didn't know about it."

In fact Harmon, who is called "pawpaw" by his grandkids, spent some separate time with grandson Brock Harmon, when the two attended a ball game to watch another of Harmon's grandkids, they told IE.
