Keith Richards once pulled a knife on Donald Trump.?w=706
As the story goes, The Stones booked a gig at Atlantic Citys Boardwalk Hall to conclude the American leg of their Steel Wheels tour. The show was sponsored by Donald Trump, but only after he agreed to not be involved in any of the concerts promotion, or even attend the show for that matter (apparently The Stones werent fans of the future Republican presidential candidate).
Shockingly enough, Trump ended up reneging on his promise. As tour manager Michael Cohl recounted to Pollstar, I get word that I have to come to the press room in the next building. I run to the press room in the next building and what do you think is happening? Theres Donald Trump giving a press conference, in our room!
Cohl told Trump to leave; he initially obliged, only to return five minutes later.
When Richards got wind of Trumps actions, he pulls out his knife and slams it on the table and says, What the hell do I have you for? Do I have to go over there and fire him myself? One of us is leaving the building either him, or us.

that said, I adamantly loathe almost everything about Trump, and conversely, enjoy the Stones to the same degree that I detest Trump.
aaaand........if anyone else is interested, try Stanley Booth's book on the Stones, which interweaves the saga of their early years with the 69, tour (he accompanied them most of the way), culminating in Altamont. Pretty well written, and compelling in spots:

First published in 1984, and now republished to mark the 50th anniversary of the Rolling Stones. 'True Adventures is one of the great books about rock and roll, an enthralling insiders account of the Stones surreal procession through cavernous sports arenas, the endless waits at airport terminals and anonymous Holiday inns, like a troupe of renaissance bandits with their retinue of courtiers, bagmen, bodyguards and groupies.
pretty sure there's a segment on C*cksucker Blues, the infamous documentary that used to be on youtube. you can get it in segments here; don't know if it's the whole thing, but it's very graphic in spots, and lots of boring:
