Why is there a red crescent on @TGowdySC's latest fundraising email? I wonder if this means....

(10,201 posts)Now Mr. Corn asked specifically, not only why was there a crescent, but a red one at that? Now we all know the state flag of SC is white on blue.
But, during the civil war, the flag became white and blue on red... So perhaps Mr. Gowdy is subtly referencing that period in SC's history, and is indeed a raging racist wanting to bring SC 150 years backwards to a "better" time? Because as you all know, racists always use white backgrounds with red symbols. However, a conundrum enters, because his name is in blue... But to this I say; not only does Mr. Gowdy want a racist, and independent state of South Carolina, but by including blue, he has included all of the colors of the American Flag, meaning he wants the entire United States to be a fascist, racist country wherein all minorities are unwelcome or are slaves to the state.
Or perhaps, the RED crescent is a subtle bow to the Palestinian society that uses that very same crescent... Perhaps Mr. Gowdy is secretly an evil Muslim hell bent on the destruction of America.
But we all know that the crescent on the SC flag is not a crescent moon, but instead pays homage to the gorget that was worn on the head coverings of those South Carolinians who fought in the American Revolution. So, Mr. Gowdy obviously wants to start a new Revolutionary War.
Or perhaps Mr. Gowdy wanted to represent not only his state, but the entire U.S. in his logo by using all of the colors of the U.S. flag, and the primary symbol from his own state flag.
