Florida Man syndrome migrates up here to Sheboygan, WI

I mean, a woman is not a thief since she didn't take any money?

Two Women Charged In Gas Station Thefts

39-year-old Tayna Housey and 46-year-old Tracy Konz both face charges of felony theft.

According to a criminal complaint, police were informed by the owner of Petro Center that he'd caught a pair of employees on camera stealing merchandise. He said that he'd spotted Konz and Housey leaving the store with Newport cigarettes, Budweiser alcohol, energy drinks, and beef jerky. He confronted the women, who allegedly admitted to the thefts. He estimated the total loss to the stores at around $13,000.

Police interviewed the two women after taking them into custody. Housey allegedly told police that she'd only been working at the store for two weeks, but before that time she and Konz would work together to take items like cigarette cartons and lottery tickets out of the store without paying for them. Konz likewise allegedly admitted to the thefts, but complained that she thought her boss's estimate of her thefts was too high. She did tell police that she wasn't a thief because she wouldn't take any cash from the store.
