There are those who cannot abide the idea of clean, chemical free food, and who insist we all must eat unlabeled, unknowable GMO-chemicalized crud rations, such as the ungodly glorp in the OP being poured into our into our ecosystem, and eventually making its way into our bodies.

Watch out. The Pro-Ignorance fraternity that abhors the idea of the public having information about its food systematically flings focus-group tested Talking Point Poo.

that calls into question the wisdom of switching to vegetable oil and eating a whole lot more of it. The same studies that were used to promote an opposite conclusion 45 years ago.

What's a consumer to do? We have "smart"people perhaps unable to perform basic scientific research, or who really suck at communicating what they have discovered.

Add to that a government that subsidizes sugar, tells people that they should eat a diet of 2.5 cups of leafy greens and a variety of colors, then tells us there is only 1.75 available to everyone, and that in the form of lettuce, tomatoes, and potatoes, mostly eaten in pizza and french fries.

Number (in Millions) of Civilian, Non-institutionalized Adults with Diagnosed Diabetes, United States, 1980-2014
From 1980 through 2014, the number of U.S. adults aged 18 years or older with diagnosed diabetes has almost quadrupled (from 5.5 million to 21.9 million).

Our policies are subsidizing our own early demise.

There is a puny 8% cohort of Americans who want to deny 92% of Americans the right to know what's in their food by blocking GMO labeling. They are, obviously, the Pro-Ignorance fraternity since they reject the informed will of the vast democratic majority and want to keep Americans Ignorant of what is in the food they eat and feed to their children.

Not knowing the phrase "chemical free food" is ignorant beyond belief makes it all that much funnier.
