More Republican Politicians Have Been Arrested For Sex Acts In Public Restrooms Than Trans People

We need to pass legislation now!

http://mindy-fischer-writer.com/2016/04/republican-politicians-arrested-acts-public-restrooms-trans-people/

Republican lawmakers across the country have been targeting the LGBT community with new discriminatory laws commonly called “bathroom laws.” But take a guess at who’s been arrested more often for sexual misconduct in public restrooms….trans people….or Republican politicians? I’ll give you a hint….it’s NOT the trans people.

Maybe it’s a case of Republicans wanting to play a game of bait-and-switch so that no one pays attention to what they’re really doing themselves. Or maybe they’re just incredibly egocentric hypocrites. But making new laws targeting the trans community under the premise that they are some kind of predators who can’t be trusted in public bathrooms is almost laughable when you consider that there are literally no known cases of such a thing. And what makes it even worse is that the people making these ridiculous discriminatory laws are protecting their own fellow Republican politicians from the very thing they are accusing the LGBT community of doing.

Funny how those “religious freedom laws” they so desperately say they need to protect the public from the gays don’t seem to do squat to protect anyone from politicians.

Now I'm under no delusion that RWNJs do not loathe and despise and seek to harm trans folk, and even view their discomfort under this law as a bonus, but both publicly and as far as I can tell genuinely, their main boogyman is hetero men posing as trans women to use womens' bathrooms for salacious pursuits.

Although given that generally womens' bathrooms have stalls, do not contain women in any titillating level of undress in public, and that any amount of free pornography featuring any level of voyeurism is available on any phone or pc, I'm not sure that risk is large. While rape is obviously a possibility, I don't think anyone willing to commit such a felony would be put off by the penalty for entering the wrong restroom, so it's really only Peeping Toms they are even vaguely addressing.

The bathroom, and especially public bathrooms at that are places you don't stick around for the ambiance. It's not like we rate individual stalls on a scale of 1 to 5. No you pee and get the hell out of there as fast as possible.

Ted Baxter claimed that women went to the Ladies Room together to hold secret club meetings to undo the world of Men. He said the dimes they asked each other for were for dues.

So, The answer is that we are holding secret meetings to topple male control!

Hetero men/women disguising themselves as the opposite sex to enter a bathroom for salacious purposes because I'm pretty sure the number for that is nil. Also numbers for pedophiles who used the "appropriate" bathroom for their gender who did something. I would imagine that public bathrooms just aren't the best for initiating a, "hook-up," (for lack of a better term) in any scenario - disguising oneself as transgender, pedophiles, or, as we've seen thanks to republicans, adult hook-ups.

Now hooking up beforehand and going to a restroom because that's the nearest convenient place, I would assume that's more common with consenting adults of whatever persuasion.

I was looking for his quote which goes roughly like this:
"Whenever I hear about a stridently homophobic politician, I just wait. I know that sooner rather than later, that same politician will be busted for indecent exposure in a public toilet".

Tried to google and looked up wikiquotes, no luck.

I'll bet it was from his and Stephen Fry's debate on whether the Catholic Church is a force for good in the world. Right around the time they are talking about homosexuality and Hitchens epic defense of it as a form of love...

but I did find the quote I was thinking of

Hitchens: Unanswered questions: amazing, no one, though they were asked repeatedly, would say whether they thought Stephen Fry, my friend, was in a state of mortal sin or not. They wouldn’t tell you. Something about the question brought out their inner coward. Well, I say that homosexuality is not just a form of sex, it’s a form of love, and it deserves our respect for that reason. That when my children were young, I’d have been proud to have Stephen as their babysitter, and I’d’ve told them they were lucky, and if anyone came to my door as a babysitter wearing holy orders, I’d call first a cab and then the police.

This was not an issue until the fascist Rethugs invented it . now I hear people gripping about it on the radio, as well as in my every day life. I am amazed by how stupid people are. I am sure that fox news has their addicts all freaked out by now between zitka and queers the fox bots are probably hiding in their basements by now.
This is what they do. This is propaganda. Keeping people afraid of nothing, demonizing the poor a or anyone different at all. Be very afraid.stay very afraid. Never mind the Panama story ,don't worry about the trillions in wealth being hidden. Keep working try to make enough scratch to keep your home and car .worry alot about that.
While we toil for pennies.the rich people only worry about how to hide their money. The trillions they stea! And the trillions the horde.
