Tell HUD Secretary Julián Castro: Stop Selling Our Neighborhoods to Wall Street!
In 2015, Julián Castros HUD promised to sell more of its mortgages to nonprofit community-based organizations, under pressure from leaders like Sen. Elizabeth Warren who said HUD was lining up with the Wall Street speculators with its DASP program.
Heres the problem: Since making that pledge in April, 2015, HUD now sells MORE mortgages to Wall Street and LESS to nonprofits.
Community Development Financial Institutions only got 1% of loans sold in 2015.
Julián Castro also made headlines in 2015 for changing the rules to allow banks guilty of felony charges to participate in HUD programs. This change earned criticism from leaders like Sens. Sherrod Brown and Elizabeth Warren.

I'm very sad at the activities of the Dem party.
Corruption emerging as its core value.

Then again, consider who's short-listing him.
Politicalboi
(15,189 posts)3. He's perfect for Hillary's VP
He's already a dirty rat so he'll fit in just fine. Bill and Hill will teach him how it's done, and then he'll pick Chelsea for VP in 2024 and the corruption will NEVER end.

Perfect VP for you-know-who.
When even the up-and-comers are corporate retreads, you know we have a problems. God I hate Bill Clinton for starting this triangulating, out-Republicaning the Republicans bullshit.

(7,596 posts)8. And yet dozens of people on this site, for some unfathomable reason, want this lightweight to be VP.
*urp* Excuse me for a second...
