(5,390 posts)She did have a long life but lame and I were the lucky ones. She picked us at the shelter and has given us a lot of love and smiles over the years. Today we cry for lose of that love.

(5,390 posts)This was the hardest decision, we have ever had to make. Peter and I have enjoyed every minute of time we had with you.
You chose us that day in early 2002 at the shelter and made our lives so much better.
I will miss you so very much.
love you

I have felt your pain and grieve with you, recalling my old lost friends right now in solidarity.
There are the words "sorry for your loss" but they do little to address the pain nor the sadness.
Her soul will remember the joy you gave her in life, our four legged family never forget us, just as they always forgive us.

(13,776 posts)I loved that video! (Was that your song? It's charming!) She certainly was an enthusiastic little pup! She had so much fun with you and she knew just how loved she was and is and always will be.
I'm so sorry for your loss. It's just so hard. Dogs are so special; we don't deserve them. But they're sweet enough to pretend that we do.

(5,390 posts)Lame made that vid shortly after we got Randall. She was a happy loving dog never met a person who she didn't enjoy getting her ears rub by. We adopted snootchie early in 2003 from a no kill shelter in California. She has traveled the States with us. It doesn't seem real yet, Randall hasn't eaten since we took her to the vet yesterday. I know he will be fine after he greaves for his sister.

(5,390 posts)I thought you were asking about the song (in the vid), lame54 was in a band and did write a few songs. He is the one who is a fan of Kevin Smith.
Her name was Shelby when we adopted her but we wanted to rename her because her first owners were not too nice. She rarely barked but since she was a she Silent Bob didn't work, but Snoochie Bootchies did. Our other dog is a Randall.

(86,646 posts)I love that breed or dominant part of her pedigree, knew one who passed a couple ears ago who lived to be 18.6 years old, she was awesome.
I am glad to know your Snootchie was loved her whole life, and that's big.
