John Haag was at a Walgreens in March when he spotted someone running from the store, and he asked employees if theyd been robbed, reported KNXV-TV.
The employees told Haag they had been robbed, and the chase was on.
The 25-year-old Haag ran from the store, jumped into his vehicle and pursued a U-Haul cargo van driven by the suspects, police said.
A witness recorded video of the pursuit on a busy Chandler street, and that video shows Haag pull alongside the cargo van, roll down his window, point a gun at the suspects and open fire. ..............(more)

Watch the video. The "good guy with the gun" is shooting out the window. Some other good guy with a gun could have shot him.

It's for personal protection and saving/protecting the lives of loved ones, not chasing shoplifters.

Man shoots wife in ankle outside a Walgreens in Arlington, Texas. A bystander who was a "good-guy with a gun" pulls his pistol to arrest the shooter. Shooter, who is the "bad guy with a gun", shoots and kills the wanna-be hero.

He should be charged with attempted murder and never again allowed to own a gun.
