hired him to lead his VP pick committee. CNN. I didn't catch the name.
*** oh and what seems to be lost is that Trump first appointed Ben Carson. That went flat fast. Trump obviously doesn't hire 'the best people'

(764 posts)Her on the ticket would give late night comedians mana to work with, pure gold. Plus I think enough people would just not vote at all because of those damn women on the tickets(sarcasm off) that the democratic ticket would win.
having said that if it is Schmitt Trump chose to pick VP I am worried.

Now, he's suddenly a respected figure on MSNBC along with the likes of Kelly Conway. They've gone so far right, I expect to see Anne Coulter soon.

Yes folks, courtesy of Glenn Greenwald's interview with Scott Horton on various topics comes this bombshell. The one person pushing for the selection of Sarah Palin throughout the summer was William Kristol of the New York Times.
It certainly sheds some light as to the spat going on between Kristol and the McCain campaign over the past few days. With McCain's poll numbers tanking, and now in free fall, ever since the selection of Mrs. Mooseburger, the finger pointing has begun in earnest.

(13,297 posts)On the weekend before John McCain made his vice-presidential pick, McCain's advisor Arthur Culvahouse asked attorney Ted Frank to prepare a written vetting report on Sarah Palin.
Thrown together from scratch in less than forty hours, the document highlighted her vulnerabilities:
"Democrats upset at McCain's anti-Obama 'celebrity' advertisements will mock Palin as an inexperienced beauty queen whose main national exposure was a photo-spread in Vogue in February 2008. Even in campaigning for governor, she made a number of gaffes, and the Anchorage Daily News expressed concern that she often seemed 'unprepared or over her head' in a campaign run by a friend."
