(3,366 posts)That is a highly evocative photo. I can taste and smell that pier, the water. I can hear the sound of lapping, soft clanking. A dreamy image encased in realism. Every time I look at it, I get the feeling I'm looking through a hole instead of a reflection. Just lovely!
What a thoughtful comment!

(5,376 posts)I'm thinking it's at one of the harbors on the Oregon coast? Maybe Charleston? One of my favorite spots on the way to Cape Arago. Wherever, it's very cool indeed!

(8,380 posts)and I am so happy and touched that Abby & Jack, reporting for duty was in the finals. The picture is one of the last we have of Abby, and I'm so happy to have shared it here.
Here is another I have (cropped and framed) of my dear, sweet Abigail Hops to It:

(22,380 posts)The photo was so alive and I really felt the breeze! Beautiful dog. You are/were lucky to have her.
We still have Jack and now have Chloe. I tell her sincerely, "You are not Abby, but you are uniquely Chloe, and I love you."

(22,380 posts)You pulled this contest out in the nick of time, and now you will be hosting the Spring Seasonal Contest. I so very much appreciate your work and dedication.
To the Winners: It's amazing how well the GD public selects most of the time. The crème de la crème made the finals and then gave us the top vote getters.
I am loving the final selections very much.
Abby and Jack, windblown and without sunglasses, make me laugh every time I see them.
Great work everyone!
