Trump will meet with FL Gov Scott amid VP speculation...

Florida Gov. Rick Scott (R) “will travel to New York to meet with presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump on Monday as Trump begins plotting his general election campaign in Florida,” the Washington Post reports.

“While the meeting is about strategy, according to a Scott aide, it could also stoke speculation about Trump’s vice presidential selection process. Scott, who endorsed Trump in March, has said he is not interested in being the mogul’s running mate. Nevertheless, their warm relationship makes him a name to watch.”

However per a new Mason/Dixon Poll:

When it comes to Trump’s ticket, Gov. Rick Scott does more harm than good.

“Scott could be toxic for Trump in the state,” Coker wrote. “A whopping 40% of Florida voters say they would be ‘less likely’ to vote for Trump with Scott on the ticket.” Still, 53 percent said Scott’s selection would make no difference in their decision.

For some reason, I think if he takes Scott on as VP, FL is lost to Clinton. glowing Jun 2016 #5

Instead of a "Oh dear God, hell no" reaction if it was simply Trump running on a ticket, I would change it to, "Oh dear God in heaven, absolutely positively hell no" if he adds Scott.

The Republicans run the state anyway, control the machines that do the counting... If he picks Scott, it's probably a done deal that FL turns red this year.
