Tell Olive Garden's Owner: Pay Workers Fairly

http://engage.uusc.org/uusc/app/onestep-write-a-letter?0&engagementId=208393

As the largest restaurant company in the United States – employing more workers who live on tips than any other company – Darden Restaurants has the power to revolutionize worker pay for servers and other tipped employees and shift our food system toward healthier, more sustainable production. That’s why we’re working with a broad coalition, calling on Darden to adopt the Good Food Purchasing Principles to improve the standards for animal treatment, environmental sustainability of its suppliers, conditions in the fields for farmworkers, and more.

Olive Garden’s website has a page where they ask you to “Let us know what you think.” When you take action today, we’ll submit your comment straight to Olive Garden, using their comment form. Corporate staff pay close attention to these comments – so your voice really matters here.

Tell Olive Garden and its parent company Darden to start paying workers fairly now.

And be sure to tip well when you go there. Especially the one in Times Square, where the cost of living is so high.

increases their costs would cause their food quality to get even worse. Their problem is that they already can't go much lower.

Perhaps concentrating on service and food already being served would be much better then what they are proposing. I see bankruptcy in their future.

How do we know they're not already paid "fairly"?
