I don't understand some people

Was in line to get breakfast and a guy told his buddy "it seems the Orlando shooter was a closet gay" and the buddy says "I'm not surprised, I told you they are unstable". I suddenly lost my appetite.

Anyone who would disparage homosexuals and unstable people (i.e., people who struggle, meaning most of us) in the same breath must be unstable (and in denial) himself.

It's a shame his buddy didn't reject the highly offensive comment.
