2. There's no reason to make this distinction.

In doing so it depreciates the other amazing people who lost their lives who were LGBT.

We're all people, and we all have lives, histories and people who love us.

The distinction is that this woman was not gay and in fact a prolific breeder (not slaming mothers) which these sort of preachers seem to love and might be inclined to mourn.

There should not be a distinction but it's the preachers who would make one. I think that's the OP's point.

As one who works in a progressive church, please lump all of Christianity in the boat. There are so many of us in the faith community that are grieving deeply over this!
