In the clip, the white dog can be heard barking in terror, while a man and woman talk in the background.
According to a translation by Coconuts Bangkok, the man says:, Hia (a Thai term for the lizards) is in our house. Its f**king huge!
A woman then offers this helpful suggestion: They say if you throw a coin at it, it will go away! Its like giving the lizard luck and fortune! to which the man responds: You should stand next to it, sister. Youre the same size.
Then the lizard slaps its tail against the table and everyone freaks out.
In a later interview with Coconuts, Attanai said the lizard was actually a frequent visitor to the house and the family had named it Selena, after their favourite pop star Selena Gomez. As if this story couldnt get more surreal.

(44,397 posts)Danger to humans: Water Monitors do not prey upon humans, preferring to eat much smaller animals. However, a Water Monitor that is grabbed or threatened by a human may use its teeth, claws, or tail to defend itself, and all three could inflict significant injury. If you are bitten by a water monitor, it is important to clean the wound and apply antibiotic ointment immediately, as rotting flesh in the monitors mouth may lead to inflection. You should seek medical attention in the case of any serious bite in order to prevent infection. It is possible that very serious bites from the largest monitors may lead to fatalities.
