The Republican Conundrum w/Trump

They can go to the RNC and let Trump be the nominee and they will lose in
a landslide in the fall or they can try to find a way to keep Trump from being
the nominee and piss off all the people who voted for him and lose in a land-
slide in the fall.

.... would have to do better w/Hispanics and women to have a chance in the
next national election and now they have picked Trump. Oh well, Trump is the
monster built by Fox, Rush, and all those tea party "birthers" who thought a
24/7 diet of hate and lies will make them a force to deal with.

BTW Trump might have trouble winning Texas too.

election. This is about a political party being forced into behaving in the best interests of the country again. After the 2012 election, the RNC did a post mortem on changes that they must undergo. They chose to ignore their own conclusion. Now they will be hoisted on their own petard.

Ideally they would like if there was someone like George W. in the White House starting crazy wars and cutting taxes for the rich, but even he was not conservative enough for them because spending wasn't cut enough for their liking. An acceptable consolation prize would be something like we have now, a Democrat holding the office, having no bills sent to his desk to sign, no appointees confirmed, and blamed for all the problems in the country and the world simply because he's the one in charge.
