campaign manager on the eve of a general election campaign?

Corrected to add campaign to end of sentence for clarity.

Trump appears to be trying to do a "reset."
Whatever, I am sure the results will be just as entertaining.

Donald J. Trump is parting ways with his campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, a move that comes as the presumptive Republican nominee faces challenges as he moves toward the general election.

“The Donald J. Trump Campaign for President, which has set a historic record in the Republican primary having received almost 14 million votes, has today announced that Corey Lewandowski will no longer be working with the campaign,” the campaign spokeswoman, Hope Hicks, said in a statement. “The campaign is grateful to Corey for his hard work and dedication and we wish him the best in the future.”

Mr. Trump had faced increasing concerns from allies and donors, as well as his children, about the next phase of the campaign as he pivots toward a general election.

Mr. Trump has recently seen his standing dropping in recent national polls, and is now facing a barrage of ads by Hillary Clinton and her allies.

Like Trump, she was firing people right and left. It was painful to watch.

They're trying to spin this as somewhat planned. Not a chance, this is the most critical time for fundraising right now and this will dissuade big donors from giving. No one wants to bet on a losing horse, every single one of them wants a return on their investment.

Where did you read that? I read that he had $200 Million to Hillary's $410 Million. Maybe that was including the RNC's numbers. If his campaign has $1 Million total in the bank, they are totally screwed. Hillary has $41 Million in ads running starting today, if Trump has no money to respond his goose is cooked. She can completely define Candidate Trump any way she wants. Campaigns usually can't be won in the summer, but they can definitely be lost.

Trump is going to be so damaged by his convention that he'll barely limp through to the nomination. And you know that's part of the Dem's strategy, they have decided whether or not they want to run against Trump or have him replaced and will inflict the appropriate amount of damage to get the result they want. My guess is they bury him before the convention and hope he gets replaced by the Party. Not because they fear running against him, they just want to totally smash the Republican Party. This is the biggest opening they have ever had to deal a massive blow to the Republican Party. I expect the White House, the Senate, and the Supreme Court to all be Liberal next year. And the House is not out of the question.
