But, wait a minute... did Scotland and Ireland vote as independent governments? Are they not a part of UK?

Scotland's already sick of this kind of disruption. Tories were returned in healthier numbers than has been the case for years at the last Holyrood election.

the Republic of Ireland. If it sticks with the UK, Northern Ireland will be out of the EU while the Republic of Ireland is in the EU with its freedom of movement. Without a wall, all those sneaky brown people that the English - not the Scots, Welsh or Northern Irish - voted to keep out will simply go to Ireland, cross freely into Northern Ireland and make their way to England easily from there.
