Pipe break damaged Lawrence County Courthouse
A broken water pipe has caused damage that could keep the Lawrence County Courthouse closed all week.
County Clerk Chris Jobe said hundreds of gallons of water spewed from the pipe above a second-floor ceiling early Monday before water was noticed running underneath the front doors, according to WYMT-TV in Hazard.
The courthouse in Louisa sustained extensive water damage, mostly to the county clerk's office and the property valuation office.
