House Report Exonerates Hillary Clinton For Benghazi, Exposes Republican Witch-Hunt

"Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has stoically weathered a ceaseless storm of slander swirling around her, victim of a Republican witch-hunt aimed solely at derailing her chances of winning the American presidency. But she may finally have some vindication, as this morning, a House of Representatives report from the Select Benghazi Committee was published definitely exonerating Clinton from the absurd charges that she bears the blame for American deaths in the 2011 terrorist attack on the US Embassy in Benghazi by the radical militant group Ansar al-Sharia, and declares that it “is long past time for the Select Committee to conclude its work.”

The report provides conclusive evidence that the Clinton State Department granted the many requests for extra security made by the embassy embodied, debunking the false narrative circulated by right-wing conspiracy theorist radio hosts and most recently by presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump, who claims that “Ambassador Stevens and his staff in Libya made hundreds and hundreds of requests for security. They were desperate. They needed help. Hillary Clinton’s State Department refused them all.”

The truth is that House Republicans cut the funding for embassy security by $128 million in fiscal 2011 and $331 million in fiscal year 2012, placing the blame for the attack’s success on their own shoulders. In 2011, a year before the attack, Clinton herself had warned that the embassy budget cuts were “detrimental to America’s national security” – and House Republicans ignored her warnings."

They seem to always be content with acting defensively. They lazily rely on the common sense of Americans to exonerate them so they don't need to go on the offensive, at least rarely. Only trouble is, right wing hate radio and Fox News is running 24/7 catapulting the propaganda to the masses, and with hardly any pushback, they take Democrats silence as admitting guilt.

Why have they not, months ago, years ago now, not come out with a blistering accusation that it was Republicans neglect of passing the security requests over the years that are the main reason this happened? Even if it is not 100% accurate, that is what they do. Fight with the same weaponry, throw out these brash accusation talking points and make them have to come back stuttering and blubbering.

Notice how CBS, ABC, NBC et al were always careful to present the "both sides of the argument" slant instead of taking a stand and telling the American people that bullshit is bullshit.
