Caitlyn Jenner Praises Trump On Women, LGBT Issues In Latest WTF Of The Week

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/caitlyn-jenner-donald-trump_us_5773c4e4e4b0352fed3e736c?section=

“I’m on the conservative Republican side,” she said when asked about issues facing the transgender community. “I’m not excited with what Obama has done to the economy, to our Constitution, all that kind of stuff. But as far as the transgender community, they’ve actually been very good.”

“Everybody looks at the Democrats as being better with these issues,” she added. “But Trump seems to be very much for women. He seems very much behind the LGBT community because of what happened in North Carolina with the bathroom issue. He backed the LGBT community. But in Trump’s case, there’s a lot more unknowns. With Hillary, you pretty much know what you’re gonna get with the LGBT community.”

Um ... what?! Trump has time and again insulted, belittled, sexualized and stereotyped women. And his record on queer rights, while less well documented, is also abysmal and includes a promise to consider appointing judges to overturn SCOTUS’ marriage equality ruling and a recent meeting with 400 of the country’s most anti-LGBT conservative Christians. And while he originally criticized North Carolina’s anti-queer HB2 law, he shifted his position a day later and said that states should have the right to do what they want.

She got a sex change, not a brain implant.

Being transgender imbues her with no more wisdom or insight than any other moron with an opinion.

Probably because the perceived intent behind actions is different based on party.

I'd bet that if Trump uses EOs and responds to FOIA and congressional oversight requests like Obama, many the Rs who had "Constitutional issues" with Obama's actions will be fine, and many Ds who had no problem with Obama's actions will see "Constitutional issues".

Just like many of Obama's actions have been excused with "Bush did it too" by many of the same people who had problems when Bush did it and will likely have problems if the next R president does it.

She was all in for Cruz, a guy whose inner circle includes pastors who advocate the execution of gays.

I've never had enough interest in Jenner to know when he became...and now, she became...this person. I know that after the Olympics, he attempted a few business ventures and tried to make it as an actor, but pretty much everything he did faded away into obscurity. The kiss of death, I believe, was the Kardashian alliance. Once he ensconced himself in the Malibu compound with that family, nothing mattered except that bubble. And it seems that now, any statements she makes on "LGBT Issues" are nothing more than a Kardashian-styled attempt to stay "relevant" and in the spotlight.

The first ACT UP action against Trump's business practices:

November 25, 1988: Trump Tower Thanksgiving Action - ACT UP protests a lack of housing for PWA's while city gives tax breaks to wealthy developers. Numerous affinity group actions and arrests are made.

It's simply that being wealthy is a bigger part of who she is than being transgender. Because she's wealthy and well known, she will automatically receive a certain amount of tolerance from her peers (at least to her face) that is not given to the wider community.

She cares about herself first.
