(5,455 posts)I'm expecting a statement to the effect that the FBI is still working on the investigation and that they hope or will have a final report prior to the convention.
2 days is probably a bit too soon after the interview on Saturday for the FBI to finalize the report.

(5,455 posts)given how long the FBI has been working on this, it really seems unlikely that they would suddenly rush to finish 2 days after interviewing Hillary.

Should career prosecutors at DOJ decide there is enough evidence they will convene a grand jury who will indict upon a finding of probable cause:

There is also this:
A. In determining whether to commence or recommend prosecution or take other action against a person, the attorney for the government should not be influenced by:
1. The person's race, religion, sex, national origin, or political association, activities or beliefs;
2. The attorney's own personal feelings concerning the person, the person's associates, or the victim; or
3. The possible affect of the decision on the attorney's own professional or personal circumstances.
