And we have services where we honor them, with dept heads attending, etc, to let them know we care. But we don't get to hug them that much.

When a young black man is murdered by a white cop, does the larger community and the police force line up to comfort his grieving family?

Or are they called thugs? Are they maligned in the media? And how are their assailants treated? Paid vacation and eventual exoneration.

funerals of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile and hug their family members.

I do know that most cops are good and only trying to do their jobs, but a significant minority are all too happy to intimidate, brutalize, and kill people. What happened in Dallas should not have happened, but I'm somewhat surprised something like that hasn't happened sooner.

This is hurting bad. For the most part always any protest was worked out with police and always peaceful. We always strived for peace.

Important reminder! Perhaps this could happen with other types of tragedies! Cops need to be reminded that POC are human! and everyone needs to remember that cops are human.
