the author of a new RFK book, with hundreds of interviews, including the last one Ethel did. sounds pretty interesting

it follows his evolution from right wing maniac, essentially....he was friends with McCarthy, and actually liked him (worked for him during the witch hunt days, for those who didn't know that), into the person he became.

the author highlighted a meeting at his Virginia home after he'd been to Mississippi, saw the throngs of starving, malnourished people there, and told his family it was time to wise up, because they had NO idea what it was like to live as those people did. it forever changed him. very compelling stuff
