Poison, hatred and danger flowing from Cleveland

IMO, the only thing missing from the GOP Convention are huge flags with swastikas.
The hatred flowing from the podium and the crowd are sickening, frightening and, ultimately dangerous if it carries on past this convention. And it looks like it will.

“Hang Hillary on the Washington Mall”? “Shoot her”? “Lock her up for life.”? Is there anyone who is going to try to tell me that some kind of horrible epidemic of hatred hasn’t taken over this Cleveland convention?

Not to mention their “love” of Trump. These are people who are in love with one of the most successful con men America has ever seen.

Something has gone terribly wrong with this country.

Yes, our media is a big part of it and is as fucked up as is possible.

Yes, many Republicans will eat any shit fed to them.

Yes, our country is full of stupid people who will believe anything.

Yes, many people are hurting and will buy anything that seems helpful.

But, no. We are not Germany in 1933. Or are we?
I’ll stop here and leave that last question for you to answer.

$1B has been invested in bringing here down - he cannot go up and has hit a ceiling, so only way to win is to bring her down. SImple strategy in play.

Now I'm simply stunned at what I'm seeing.

This is really a bad time for our country.

Donald and his daughter may or may not make the connection between their salute and their (lack of) ideas.

IMO, the real issue is that they apparently don't make the connection between their physical actions and those used by the Germans.

But of more relevance, they don't make the connection between themselves and the ideas that many were trying to spread world wide in the 1920s and 1930s.

I may be wrong here. And some day, I may regret posting this online. But right now, I see little difference between what Donald Trump is offering us today, and what Adolf Hitler was offerng the world back then.

We saw how that turned out.

To borrow a page from a disgusting American history: "They all look the same to me."

And if some find that offensive, I really don't give a rat's ass given today's GOP. They all seem to be submerged in the same sewer of hatred.

Sure, Richard Nixon was a classic asshole from hell. He was a liar, a criminal, and he had NO principles.

HOWEVER. . . Richard Nixon would look like Mother Theresa compared to today's conservatives.

I see the election of Saint Ronny Reagan as the beginning of the end for these wingnuts. Ronny escaped scot free from the entire imbroglio of Iran Contra which paved the way for the rest of the Republicans' crimes for the next 3 + decades. Their resistance to the truth is finally catching up to them. Their supporters have no clue what is REALLY going on. They are too busy chasing imaginary gremlins. What's too bad is that it's NOT funny. They are too dangerous and hateful.

This is positively the WORST convention I've ever seen. It's the ugliest display of racism and hate I've ever seen in this country.

Excuse my language, but if we don't beat this shit head, we are all completely screwed. I mean, really? Seriously? Comparing Hillary to Satan? Making blatant racist points from the podium? Using anti-semitic imagery? What the hell is going to be next? At this point, I am far beyond the point of being shocked anymore. I don't put anything past them-- I mean ANYTHING.

What does SHOCK me though is the lack of universal condemnation in the press-- in the news- -from the public. It's horrifying, frightening, and disgusting.
