The available data shows that an estimated 6 percent of delegates who attended the Republican National Convention werent white and only 18 were black, which, according to Daniel Donner at Daily Kos, is the lowest percentage of black delegates at a GOP convention since 1912.

I for one could not be happier about this. It tells me that the Democratic Party has made good on its commitment to be inclusive, and the voters have responded by becoming integral participants in the political process.
Furthermore, I'd like to point out that this is the key to victory in the future, not only because of the demographic changes that the United States will experience in coming years, but because the Democratic Party now has a much larger and more diverse pool of expertise upon which to draw. More, better, and more diverse members is how WE will guide the United States through the 21st Century.
