The Republican Revenge Tour

Have you noticed?

The more the Republicans control the branches and departments of government, the more they despise the government.

They win the majority of state legislatures across the nation and they get angry at President Obama because they cannot get what they want.

They win the US House and the US Senate and all they can do is block legislation and then whine about how government doesn't work anymore.

Republicans are not a governing-type Party. They hate government, except when they need it.

Now, they are goose-stepping behind Donald Trump, as if he will give them what they want from government. They are gambling with our country and our democracy.

One would hope that if they are intent on voting for the tyrant-in-waiting, then they would make sure he doesn't have a House and Senate to do his bidding? That could be disastrous. And they claim to be patriotic. They say they love their country.

The more races they have won in the House and Senate, the more discontented they have become as a Party. And they blame the liberals, the Democrats, the media. Anyone, except themselves.

Donald Trump is their revenge candidate. They want to get even with the government that their Party has mostly controlled since about 1994. They don't really know what they want. They are just angry. They fail to see that the problems with our government are of their own doing. The problem with our government is the Republican majority in our House and Senate. That was the mistake made by Republican voters.

If they want to fix our government, they should concentrate on changing control of the House and Senate and work to put a Republican in the White House, if they truly want to change government? God help our Nation if they vote in Donald Trump with a Republican House and Senate. Their bad dream will become a nightmare.

that Republicans really suck at governing.

If I wanted a good Doctor to care for me,
I would not want someone who despises
their own profession. And has a stated wish
for drowning their patients in the bathtub.

. . .to throw $$$ and support behind Democratic candidates in the "down-ticket" races.

There are still some here who may not be happy with our current standard bearer for POTUS.
Fine. You don't have to give $$$ and support directly to her - in fact, that $$$ and support would be better spent on races in the Senate, Houses, Governor, and state/local legislatures.

As HRC herself has said - she can't do this alone. And she's absolutely right.

The majority of governors, 31 GOP, 18 Dem, 1 Ind
The majority of state legislatures. 30 GOP, 11 Dem, the rest split.
The US Senate.
The US House of Representatives.

But we have the POTUS, which is by my accounting, not much given the rest. If we lose that, all is lost. ALL OF IT!

Time to get going. Our best weapon is GOTV. And for Christ sakes, let's focus on the fucking local and state elections.

We are literally hanging on by our fingernails. Thankfully, we have Drumpf as the GOP presidential nominee this year. Let's leverage that advantage.

My best to you all.
