GOP Insiders Want Trump Out

An astonishing 70% of Republican insiders anonymously polled by Politico want Donald Trump to drop out of the race.

Said one: “I’d rather take our chances with nearly anyone else than continue with this certain loser who will likely cost the Senate and much more.”

Too late! They can't just convene another convention and get rid of him. He needs to voluntarily step aside and he won't.

including Texas, which has a fairly large number of electoral votes.

It is too late.

Their only hope is for him to behave with some semblance of normalcy. Good luck to them with that.

the GOP would still look like a Party out of control, and unable to present any kind of sane options to the American people.

6. Yeah, they don't have a candidate acceptable to all factions of their party.

If they had, that candidate would have won the nomination. Their party was swirling the drain even before Trumpy threw his (Chinese-made) hat into the ring.

the Republican Party is starting to look incapable of figuring out when a would-be candidate is a train wreck waiting to happen.

Both the Pallin fiasco, and now the Trump fiasco, make the GOP look just plain stupid. Dumping Trump would not help that.
