Obama called them out on Tuesday. They had two options; do the right thing and back away from Trump. (A lose because then Ryan and the other leaders look like they are taking directives from Obama) Or sit back and try to let the Trump stench blow over.

As expected, the spineless Ryan did nothing. So now he is tied firmly to Trump, a despised candidate.
