Addison County Fair bans confederate flag merchandise (VT)

The Addison County Fair and Field Days board has decided to ban sales of Confederate flag merchandise at this year’s fair, Business Manager Cara Mullin confirmed by phone on Friday.
Mullin referred the Free Press to Field Days President Jim Foster, who was not available for comment Friday afternoon.
The event is the state’s largest agricultural fair and runs Tuesday through Aug. 13.
The decision follows a petition on Change.org that had received 428 signatures as of Friday afternoon. The online petition was created about two weeks ago ...
