(65,502 posts)sort of people who will look for opportunities to abuse and maybe even kill other people if they can get away with it. We know that torturing animals for fun is one of the signs they look for in children to predict the possibility of dangerous sociopathy.
Needless to say, such vicious people seek out the weak, vulnerable, and "disposable"--i.e., those not properly protected by society (the disadvantaged, dispossessed, marginalized, and oppressed)--to abuse. No doubt cops like these two view marginalized people as being no more important than that poor creature they deliberately inflicted not just death but prolonged suffering and terror on.
IOW, their crime is abominable, and a sign that they are capable of even more heinous crimes against human beings.

(503 posts)They could have subdued the groundhog with a live trap, couldn't they?
Did the groundhog have a record? Did it reach for a weapon? Resist arrest? Was the groundhog "uppity"?

(10,497 posts)that they are above the law. Until we have an agency that does nothing but investigate and prosecute cops when they break the law we will continue to see more police abuse and murder.

(21,644 posts)groundhogs are more important than black persons? Since the murder of blacks by police is, in practice, legal.

(3,425 posts)does not equate to the loss of human life, according to us humans anyway. It does give us some indication as to the type of person that would be more likely to kill a black person, so at least we can be grateful that they are no longer have a license to kill.
