The "down-ballot" races.

Are Donald Trump supporters going to vote for Republicans down-ballot?

That is the question many Republicans are asking themselves.

Will they be better served to disavow Trump and continue to ask loyal Republicans for their votes?

The only problem with that proposal is that many Trump supporters have disavowed the Republican Party. They see Republicans in Congress as a major part of the problem with Washington. Just because they are willing to pull the lever for Trump does not mean they are ready to pull the lever for their Congressman or Senator "down ballot".

Therein lies their dilemma. The Devil has been kicked out of Heaven but he has taken a third of the angels with him.

But the RNC has made its bed and Reince Preibus has decided to sleep in it. The national Party is behind Donald Trump. Where does that leave all the candidates down ballot?

It has gotten to the point that Republicans are starting to panic. How do they get Trump supporters to vote for them when they have little inclination to do so? As election day draws near, we will hear more and more about those "down-ballot" races.
