Cosmos was an informational documentary that was intentionally created for only one season.

Duck Dynasty(which I hate) and Mr. Robot(which I love) are "entertainment" programs designed to last forever. Hell, the TV show Mash lasted 4 times longer than the Korean War conflict. Disclaimer: The conflict is over, but the war is technically still going on.

As a human, I am proud of Jeopardy's +7,000 episode run and 60 Minutes' 48 year run. These shows prove that humanity still has a need for tv programming that teaches something.

Wasn't cosmos supposed to have limited episodes? I mean there's only so much 'space stuff' they can cover before running out of stuff interesting enough to bring viewers. I watched the full series with Neil Degrasse Tyson and I felt like they pulled it off well enough. Not too long, and not too short.

It's over 100 and has been.

Watching ice and snow in August is refreshing. The story is almost secondary.

I enjoy "Alone" a lot, but I'm not sure why that show is on the History Channel either. At least it's somewhat educational about the effects of solitude on people.
